Convert MP4s to WMVs

When you save video files onto your computer from the flip camera they will likely be saved as MP4 files.  You may need to convert the files to another format to use with different applications.  For exam-ple, Windows Movie Maker will not allow you to import MP4 files.  You will need to convert them to another file type, such as WMV files.

There are many file converter downloads available on the internet.  WinFF is a FREE download the Technology Department found that has a simple in-terface and keeps the confusing choices to a mini-mum.  It also lets you convert multiple files at once.  To access this download go to:  http://winff.org/html_new/downloads.html

After you download and install WinFF, you can con-vert your MP4 to WMV in a few quick steps:

1) Add your MP4 to the WinFF video conversion queue.

2) Choose WMV as the format to Convert to.

3) Choose WMV2 Generic as the Device Preset.

4) Click the Convert button.
